A peek into the life of me. A Stair stepper NURSE who went from CNA to RN, while being a, WLS patient, Wife, and Mother of 2.
Journey with me through the ups and downs of nursing school, the roller-coaster that is marriage and the drama of parenting teens. All while attempting to start a Nursing career, further my education, and lose weight.
Y'know the sad part it I LIKE patho. It really helped me in Block 3 and 4 to understand why we were doing the interventions and Tx's that we were by understanding how the disease works. But I'm a bit of a science nerd LOL
I took the 4 Credit class, I wasn't sure if I was going to do a BSN or ADN so I took it anyway at 7am for FOUR hours in class, that was rough. Let me know if you want some help
I have some old tests that I can share with really good practice questions. I sucked at the test 2 and 3 out of the 5 but quickly got my act together. Let me know if you want them.
Thanks girls! I am actually doing pretty well so far, I just hate the class style of questions. They are straight up from the textbook instead of my favorite nursing style. I actually do much better at critical thinking questions in a medical scenario vs a freaking cellular cycle, I want s/s questions with interventions.
My lowest quiz grade has been an 87% with most of them in the high 90s, but hey I can always use study guides for the midterm and final! Thanks Charlotte!
Yeah unfortunately Patho isn't really a critical thinking class, more of a memorize this kind of class. But in the long run it will help you in Block 3 and 4 as you need to understand the disease to understand why the interventions work. Hang in there!
Good to know!
ReplyDeleteI second your opinion!

ReplyDeleteKitty did you take the 4 credit patho class or just the patho that was included in the nursing program?
