Is there Facebook in Heaven?

We have had a lot of deaths in my family over the past few years. Which is normal for an aging HUGE family. Some more expected than others. My point is that is it me or do you think its weird to post facebook posts to the hereafter?

Has facebook replaced good old fashioned prayer or graveside visits?

I think there are some things that social media should just not be used for. Seeing someone post on a dead person's wall is just plain old spooky... and to me it kinda hurts my heart a little every time I see their face and name pop up on my status updates.

  1. I hear where you are coming from and not sure if I feel one way or another about it, to be honest. Everyone grieves in their own way, so if that's what helps them get thru this difficult time and express their feelings, who am I to judge? But I am also one that doesn't really believe in funerals. I think they are for the living and would rather say my goodbyes before someone passes, if at all possible. We had a huge celebration party when my dad died a year and a half ago. Everyone commented about how much they loved having a party where we could all laugh and remember my dad instead of a depressing funeral. To each their own.

  2. Yeah we had a huge party after the funeral last week. It was full of laughter, remembering and reconnections to family members we haven't seen in awhile. It was a very nice way to end an unexpected week.
