Last OB rotation today was spent in the NICU, although I loved my nurse and had a great experience overall, this is not a field for me. Spending the day changing diapers, listening to crying babies and feeds q3... nawww.. BORING!!
I have had high hopes for the NICU. It's been a place I've always wanted to work. But you're not the first person who I have heard say this so it makes me a little worried that my dream isn't necessarily reality. How was L&D?
Loved L&D.. there are so many different things that can happen daily. There are so many aspects to job. I like the fact that you get a mix of bedside nursing skills as well as OR.
NICU was seriously monotonous.But one of the girls in our group LOVED everything about it. Of course she doesn't have children yet and is still young and very interested in babies of all kinds
Hmmm, that sounds like the nursing home I worked in, well minus the crying. I'm with you, total snooze on both sides....
